Rainbow Zerose Project 2025

A project to raise money for LGBT Koreans fighting for their rights!Fan artists and fic writers for ZB1 offer one free request from a prompter. Fellow fans donate $3 per lottery ticket for a chance to
prompt their favorite contributing artist/writer.
After bids are completed, one respective winner per contributor is selected by random number generator to have their prompt made into real fan content!All proceeds are donated to LGBT charities in South Korea, doing work on the ground to improve life for sexual minorities in the country.2025 Schedule:
Contributor reveals: March 27th - 31st
Prompt bidding: April 1st - April 15th
Winners announced: April 16th
Contributor work time: April 17th - May 30th
Contributor check-ins: April 30th, May 15th
Content reveals: June 1st!

About the Project

Our first run of this project took place in May 2024, resulting in $2000 USD donated!
You can check out the results and charities donated to by the twitter post here.The Korean queer community face discrimination on a daily basis as a result of religious endoctrination in society as well as hateful lawmakers in power. Sexual minorities (LGBTQIA+ people) in Korea often face discrimination in housing, job opportunities, and even disrespect in everyday life just because of who they to love.Trans people in particular face even more prejudice and threats of violence for existing in their own skin.
Despite pop culture's interest in celebrities like Harisu or characters like Squid Game's Hyunju, there is still a distinctive hatred towards trans people living as their identified gender.Every year, activists in Korea are working against a heavy tide of homophobia to raise awareness for
sexual minorities in all aspects. Pride representatives in Seoul and Daegu face battles in trying to
get permits for their festivals - often blocked by religious groups setting up explicitly anti-queer events in
their chosen spaces. Political activists have been working for years to get the anti-discrimination law passed-
and still to no avail. Queer characters are celebrated in media and fan content, but there is still only one
well-known Korean celebrity (Hong Seok Cheon) that is publicly out living life as a gay man.As fans that consume this media, it is important that we contribute what we can to support LGBTQ Koreans in their fight for their rights. Zerobaseone has been vocally supportive of the queer community, and recieves a lot of love from queer fans all over the world. Between their references to queer dance culture, queer meme culture, and constant purposeful appreciation of same-sex and LGBT fans, we know that they value us as well.
We are proud to represent ZB1 in this movement towards a better world for all!

How Does This Work?

1. Select a creator to bid on
We have many fan contributors participating in this event, who share a variety of work! Check out their accounts to see what they like to make, and find a contributor that suits what you’d like to request.
You can bid on as many contributors as you’d like!2. Click the google form to fill out your information
The participation form includes your contact information (both an e-mail address and SNS username),
the amount of tickets you’d like to buy, and a screenshot of your completed paypal transfer.Click here to fill out the form for writers.

We accept payment through Paypal (F&F only) and Ko-fi! For ease of eventual donation, we prefer payment in USD- please contact us if that is not possible for you, and we can work something out.Take a screenshot of your payment and upload it into the Google form along with your contact information.One lucky draw ticket costs $3 - please multiply the amount of tickets you want to purchase by this amount! (For example, 5 tickets would mean $15 USD)4. Wait patiently for the lucky draw winners to be called, and promote the fundraiser
to your followers!
The fundraiser will end on 4/15/2025.
Winners will be announced on the @rainbow_zerose twitter account on 4/16/2025!
Please share this event with your followers- we want to spread it as much as possible in order to raise as much money as possible for these charities!5. If you win, prepare a prompt for your contributor!
Winners will provide their contributor with a prompt (please no more than 6 sentences!). The contributor will have six weeks to work on the piece requested, and it will be shared with the world as part of a big reveal event on 6/1/2025!

All creators reserve the right to say “no” to a prompt they are uncomfortable with.
If the creator isn’t able to work with your initial prompt, they can help you come up with an alternate option that will fit your interests!Writers are obligated to a minimum of 5k words for their requested work, and a maximum 15k words. This request is a one-shot,
so no chaptered long-form content unless the writer is super into the idea themselves.
If a writer is working on a piece and is choosing to write more than 15k, that is perfectly acceptable.Artists are obligated to one full piece of artwork based on their standards that can be completed within
a reasonable amount of time. Similarly, this request is a singular stand-alone piece- each artist can individually determine
their comfort level in single characters, couples, etc.
Artists have the final say in what is a “completed work”.This year we are going to be more firm about contributions being released on time, so we have scheduled check-ins with the contributors twice during the creation time period so that we are all on the same page.
